La Laguna does have some nice hotel options. We also include some other locations in Santa Cruz, the island capital, that are well communicated with the venue. Santa Cruz is not to be confused with Puerto de la Cruz, which is somewhat further away but it is a very beautiful city by the sea. All prices are for a stay for the dates 23-28/06. If you wish to stay outside of the metropolitan area (La Laguna and Santa Cruz) we recommend you think of transportation ahead. If you stay outside of La Laguna you may consider renting a car.
In La Laguna:
The city center of La Laguna is a world heritage site with a large historical influence in the colonial architecture of the Americas. All of its pedestrian streets contain nice examples of XVII and XVIII century buildings. Its nightlife is renowned as far as it is a university city.

In Santa Cruz:
Santa Cruz is the capital and most populated city, with more cultural events, theatres and museums. It has beautiful great walks flanked by huge, leafy trees and parks populated with tropical and exotic plants and a few examples of world class modern architecture like the library and space of arts TEA by Pritzker prize winners Herzog / de Meuron or the auditorium designed by Santiago Calatrava. Its amazing Las Teresitas beach lies 8 kms north of the city.
Santa Cruz has a great offer of hotels. However, on the 29th of June there will be a concert by Ed Sheenan in the city, likely to affect availability for the weekend.

In Puerto de la Cruz:
Puerto de la Cruz is a charming coastal city with plenty to offer from nice beaches to a world class zoo, with plenty of restaurants in which to enjoy local fish and only 5 kms away from the magnificent mansions and gardens of La Orotava, at the core of a wine producing region.
The 23rd/24th of June there is a strong tradition of celebration of Sant John’s bonfires in Puerto de la Cruz, but as of now, the hotel offer in the city is largely available and the celebration for this year has not been officially announced. Although it is further away from the conference venue, some 4 star hotels with great swimming facilities are available for under 60€pppn, such as Hotel Puerto Palace and Precise Resort Hotel.
